BOOKING & PAYMENT

Yes. Every booking at Middleton Castle is on an exclusive-use basis, meaning the castle and its grounds are entirely yours for the duration of your stay.

Yes, there is a minimum stay of two nights.

We take a 40% non-refundable deposit upon booking, with the remaining 60% due two months before check-in. Payment is collected via bank transfer.

Of course. We would be delighted to accommodate a site visit after an initial call to discuss your plans.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Guests are welcome to check in from 3pm and are asked to check out by 11am on their date of departure. We often have quick turnarounds between guests, so we request prompt check-outs and we charge a £250 late check-out fee.

The week before you check in, we will send you our Welcome Booklet with everything you need to know about the castle and the surrounding area. One of our team will also be on hand to greet you on arrival and talk you through the house.
THE CASTLE

The castle's fifteen bedrooms accommodate up to thirty guests. Our maximum number of separate beds is twenty-one. If the bed configuration doesn’t suit your needs, we are happy for guests to bring Z beds if you let us know in advance. Larger numbers can be accommodated for daytime events and celebrations.

We have nine double bedrooms, three twin rooms, and three zip and link rooms which can be configured as either a super-king double or twin beds depending on your group's needs. Floor plans are available to download here.

The dining table seats up to thirty guests. It measures 23 feet long and 50.5 inches wide. Please note that we do not permit candles on the dining table.

Yes, there are three working fires in the castle: one in the Great Hall, one in the Family Reception Room, and one in the Snug.

Yes, there is WiFi throughout the castle.

While we are unable to accommodate dogs inside the castle, well-behaved dogs are very welcome in the gardens and grounds during the day. We ask that owners are diligent about keeping dogs out of the house.
FACILITIES & AMENITIES

The castle has two fully fitted kitchens, one complete with an AGA. Guests are welcome to cater their stay themselves, or select one of our approved caterers and private chefs.

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the following are provided:
In the kitchen: Nespresso machine, kitchen roll, bin liners, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sponges and cloths, tea towels, and oven gloves.
In the bathrooms: 100 Acres soap and shampoo, a bath and hand towel per guest, and a hairdryer.
Outdoors: Logs for the fires and fire pit. Should you require additional logs during your stay, we can top up your supply for an additional fee. A coal BBQ is also available, but we do request that you bring your own charcoal.

Yes, there is plenty of parking on site. If required, additional parking can be arranged in one of our fields for an additional fee.

We are not currently able to offer electric car charging, but we are keen to get a charging point installed and will keep guests updated. The closest charging points are in the nearby town of King's Lynn.
GETTING HERE & LOCAL AMENITIES

King's Lynn is the nearest mainline station, approximately five miles away from the castle. Direct services run from London King's Cross and take 1 hour, 40 minutes. Watlington station is also nearby at approximately eight miles.

For guests who need extra accommodation beyond the castle's thirty-person capacity, please get in touch and the owner will be able to recommend a wide variety of local accommodation options.
