A Traitors Experience

Grand halls. Secret staircases. Candlelit chambers. A castle that has seen betrayal, intrigue, and conspiracy since 1455. The only question is - are you Faithful or Traitor?

A CASTLE STEEPED IN TREACHERY

These walls have seen betrayal before.

Middleton Castle was built in 1455 by Thomas Scales, a man who held the Tower of London for King Henry VI, and was captured and killed for it. His son-in-law Anthony Woodville completed the castle, only to be beheaded on the orders of Richard III thirty years later.

In less than three decades, the castle passed through four of England's most powerful families, each affected at times by conspiracy, allegiance, and betrayal.

1460

Thomas Scales is captured and killed by Yorkist wherrymen whilst fleeing the Tower of London. The castle passes to his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Anthony Woodville.

1483

Woodville is beheaded at Pontefract Castle by order of Richard Duke of Gloucester. In less than thirty years, four of England's greatest families — Scales, Woodville, Howard, de Vere — have held these walls.

Three people sitting at a table, each holding a small chalkboard sign with handwritten names and hearts. The woman on the left has long blonde hair, the man in the middle has a bald head and beard, and the woman on the right has brown hair tied back. They are in a wood-paneled room with a fireplace and decorative pottery on the mantle.
